Arna Falco takes home Great Taste award for its Bombón de Pistacho
Judged by the experts, Bombón de Pistacho - Original is awarded a 3-Star Great Taste in world’s most coveted food and drink awards.
Valencia, Spain – Arna Falco, a brand known for crafting deliciously indulgent chocolate dragées using carefully selected plant-based ingredients, has been named among the top food and drink producers this year, picking up a highly prized 3-star Great Taste award for its Bombón de Pistacho.
13,672 products were put through the competition’s rigorous blind judging process; with only 1.8% products having gained a 3-star award.
Arna Falco´s unique chocolates, recreates the creamy texture of traditional milk chocolates without the use of any dairy based ingredients.
This pioneering dairy-free chocolate was a big hit with the Great Taste judges, with judges describing it as “A great new concept, beautifully executed”, and going on to say, “We loved the creaminess of the chocolate, and the well roasted pistachios holding their own in the flavour profile. Very impressed that this is a non-dairy chocolate.“ One judge concluding that “The flavour of the chocolate is hugely impressive, the balance of the tigernut and sunflower delivers a lovely, rich, buttery creaminess,”
Using a pioneering roasting and drying technique, the team at Arna Falco gently blend Horchata de Chufa (Spanish Tigernut milk), sunflower seed flour, and cocoa together to create award winning dairy-free milk chocolate, which is then used to pan-coat lightly roasted, caramelised Pistachios (and other nuts of Spanish-origin) to create a rich and unique taste experience.

The Great Taste Awards 2024, organized by the Guild of Fine Food, is the world's largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme. This year, the judging panel consists of over 500 experts, including chefs, buyers, food writers, and retailers. These judges provide honest, straightforward, and impartial feedback on the products entered into the competition.

Established in 1994, Great Taste is organised by the Guild of Fine Food and is the world’s largest, longest standing, and most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers. Every Great Taste award has a validity of three years, i.e., a Great Taste 2023 award will be valid, and may be displayed on a product, until the results are released for Great Taste 2027. All awards must always be displayed against the exact product for which they have been won.
